Sofia Maruci is an actress and performer based in São Paulo, Brazil. 

Graduated in Performing Arts from the School of Communications and Arts of the University of São Paulo (USP), with a specialization in Acting, and master's degree at the same institution.

Her research moves between theater and dance, addressing themes such as horror, death, gender and sexuality. With a special interest in the representation of the bodily excesses of horror cinema, Sofia explores the creative possibilities of a “horrible body” in the context of the performing arts.

Her most recent work, the solo "MONSTRO - I've been dreaming about men", of which she is creator and co-writer alongside director Vicente Antunes Ramos, marks her first artistic approach to this horror imaginary.

Since then, the artist has dedicated herself to investigating other paths within this same context, envisioning a new dramaturgical creation based on haunted children's toys.
